Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our organization. This position is responsible for reviewing and assessing the quality of work produced by Medical Coders, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance overall performance.

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with internal staff to develop and implement quality control measures, provide guidance and training to team members, and analyze data to inform business decisions. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will enable you to identify trends and opportunities for growth, driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess the quality of coding work produced by Medical Coders
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance overall performance
  • Collaborate with internal staff to develop and implement quality control measures
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on quality control procedures
  • Analyze data to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Hold AAPC and/or AHIMA certification (CPMA is an advantage)
  • Proficient in E/M and CPT Procedure coding
  • Minimum of six months experience in quality management medical coding with exceptional performance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
