Job Overview

A rapidly growing media brand is seeking a highly skilled Content Editor to elevate their video content across multiple platforms.

Main Responsibilities

  • Edit two long-form YouTube videos (10+ minutes) per week using voiceovers and gameplay footage.
  • Add engaging text overlays, basic animations, and smooth transitions to enhance viewer retention.
  • Organize and manage large video files and project assets efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members via communication channels to receive feedback and align on creative direction.
  • Use digital tools to manage files and maintain version control.
  • Conduct research on competitors and channel analytics to help improve content performance.
  • Assist with scriptwriting and topic research as needed.
  • Maintain consistency with the existing editing style and branding of the media brand.
  • Proactively suggest and test new editing styles or techniques to improve content quality and engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience editing YouTube videos, ideally in the gaming or content creation niche.
  • Proficient with professional video editing tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Strong editing skills, including cutting gameplay footage, syncing audio, and creating engaging motion graphics and text overlays.
  • Ability to effectively match voiceovers or commentary with gameplay footage.
  • Experience conducting competitor analysis and using performance data to guide improvements.
  • Passion for gaming and understanding of gaming culture is preferred but not required.
