Job Description:
The Commercial Engineer will be responsible for leading the preparation and compilation of comprehensive bid proposals for solar power, wind power, transmission lines, substations, and hydropower projects. This involves aligning commercial strategies with project objectives, client requirements, and market conditions to maximize profitability and competitive advantage.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop commercial pricing models, cost estimates, contract terms, and conditions in accordance with client specifications and bidding requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and senior management to develop commercial strategies for bidding on energy sector power projects.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis to identify commercial risks associated with energy sector projects.
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing agreements, and commercial terms with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and partners.
  • Research and analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitors' bids to benchmark pricing strategies and position bids competitively.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners throughout the bidding process.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or any related field.
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Engineer, Contract Manager, Bid Manager, or similar role in the energy sector, with specific experience in bidding for RE power projects.
  • Strong proficiency in commercial and financial analysis, contract negotiation, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of energy project development, regulatory requirements, procurement processes, and industry standards.
