Job Description

Pleco Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Financial Reporting Specialist to support the preparation of financial and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Month End Reporting: Prepare month end work files, journals, and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the Group Financial Controller to prepare annual financial statements and engage with the audit team in a prompt manner.
  • Management Reporting: Develop monthly management reports, assisting the Group Financial Controller in coordinating, producing, and distributing Board reports on schedule, preparing accurate budget and reforecasting models, and providing ad-hoc analysis to internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage statutory taxation obligations, liaising with professional advisors to facilitate corporate tax returns and the preparation/submission of BAS, FBT, and payroll tax returns.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiencies within the finance team, leveraging existing software to enhance performance.
  • Control Environment: Maintain a best practice control environment to minimize risks to the business.
  • Coaching and Development: Mentor, coach, and grow the skills of the assistant accountant.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Foster effective interpersonal relationships internally and externally to enable seamless task execution.
