Senior Data Engineer

We're seeking a skilled data engineering expert to join our team as a Senior Data Engineer. This role involves designing, building, and deploying cutting-edge data solutions for our clients in the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure services such as Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory.
  • Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.
  • Participate in solution design and technical discussions to ensure secure and efficient data workflows.
  • Implement performance-optimized data workflows and maintain clear documentation.
  • Engage effectively with team members to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions using Azure services.
  • Ensure stable development environments and monitor pipeline performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and analytics projects covering data ingestion, transformation, curation, and delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of modern data file formats such as Delta Tables and Parquet.
  • Proficiency in Python, Spark, and relevant data transformation tools and frameworks.
  • Expertise in data modelling across conceptual, logical, and physical layers.
  • Experience with cloud data services, preferably within the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services and related frameworks.
  • Skilled in data pipeline orchestration using Azure Data Factory and related frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
