Trade Data Specialist Job Description

The Trade Data Specialist will be responsible for supporting a prop trading business through trade data tracking, execution oversight, and administrative coordination.

  • This role demands precision, consistency, and reliability in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

In this position, you will create and maintain trade tracking systems in Google Sheets or analytics tools. You will track live trade data, including entry/exit time, price, profit/loss, spread, strategy tag, session, and time of day.

You will also maintain summary statistics per strategy and per pair, ensuring accurate data is available at all times.

  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Create and maintain trade tracking systems.
    • Track live trade data.
    • Maintain summary statistics.

Additionally, the Trade Data Specialist will build and update a master financial dashboard for prop firm accounts, payouts, and profits. This includes delivering concise, visual daily reports at rollover.

Other key duties include:

  • Monitoring strategies at Forex rollover daily.
  • Ensuring EAs are active and trades copy correctly to prop accounts.
  • Troubleshooting and escalating trade execution issues immediately.

A strong background in data management, execution oversight, and process support is required for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, as well as experience working with MetaTrader 5 (MT5), is essential.
