About the Job

The Regional Finance Manager Hybrid set-up will be responsible for leading the financial close and reporting processes for our Asia region, ensuring compliance with both internal and external reporting requirements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Timely submission of financial statements to the Regional Office and Corporate Finance teams.
  • Adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Implementation of effective internal controls, ensuring compliance with IFRS, regional accounting standards, and company guidelines.
  • Identification of opportunities for operational efficiency improvements, including the implementation of technological solutions and process enhancements.
  • Leadership of finance-driven projects aimed at improving reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support for the roll-out of new accounting standards, ensuring that business units are aligned with corporate policies.
  • Assistance in the implementation and monitoring of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, conducting regular assessments of financial processes to ensure compliance and identify areas of improvement.
  • Preparation of detailed financial reports, variance analysis, and other ad-hoc financial summaries for senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Experience in multinational companies is preferred.
  • Strong expertise in IFRS accounting principles, with practical knowledge of IFRS 17 being a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Sun Systems, or similar ERP/accounting software.
  • Understanding of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive mindset and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in financial reporting for large, complex organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of new accounting standards and their regional impacts.
  • Familiarity with IFRS 17 and its implementation.
