Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and System Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of critical systems and services.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of system administration, network administration, security management, cloud infrastructure management, backup and disaster recovery, automation and scripting, performance monitoring and troubleshooting, and documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • System Administration:
    • Install, configure, and maintain servers (both physical and virtual), operating systems, and related hardware and software.
    • Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the company's infrastructure systems.
    • Manage and monitor system resources (CPU, memory, storage) to ensure optimal performance.
    • Manage application updates and upgrades based on business need.
  • Network Administration:
    • Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and internet connectivity.
    • Troubleshoot network issues and provide support for network configurations and protocols.
  • Security Management:
    • Implement and enforce security policies, firewalls, and other preventive measures to safeguard the infrastructure.
    • Regularly update and patch systems to mitigate vulnerabilities.
    • Conduct periodic audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    • Oversee cloud platforms for scalability and performance evaluation.
    • Conduct routine checks for cloud base improvement.
    • Maintain cloud-based virtual machines, storage, and network configurations.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery:
    • Implement and manage reliable backup solutions for critical data and systems.
    • Develop and test disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of failures.
    • Monitor backup health and storage management.
  • Automation & Scripting:
    • Develop scripts to automate routine tasks, system monitoring, and reports (using tools like PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
    • Use monitoring tools to track system performance, identify issues, and take proactive measures to prevent downtime.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and changes.
    • Prepare regular reports for management on system health, performance, and improvements.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of applications and services.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to users and staff regarding infrastructure-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a related industry, IT, or MSP.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical person.
  • Certification in Microsoft, Windows, Cisco, or Symantec is a plus.
  • Experience with Windows OS troubleshooting and configuration is a must.
  • Experience with Mac OS troubleshooting and configuration is an advantage.
  • Experience with different security platforms, anti-virus, and malware is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams is a huge advantage.
