Formulation Scientist

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Formulation Scientist to join our product development team at Meatplus Trading Corp. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and formulating new food products that meet market demands and maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Formulation:
  • Develop and formulate new food products in alignment with company goals and market trends.
  • Experiment with innovative ingredients, flavors, and processing methods to create competitive offerings.
  • Create finished product specifications.
• Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
  • Evaluate the functionality and cost-effectiveness of raw materials and ingredients.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement and cost optimization.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all products meet food safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to address any product issues or defects.

Requirements:

• High school graduate required; degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in food product development or a similar role in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, ingredient functionality, and food safety standards.
• Proficiency in using laboratory and pilot-scale equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
