Job Description:

The Traffic Operations Vice President will oversee all aspects of traffic management for the expressway, ensuring safe, efficient, and smooth traffic flow. This includes leading a team of at least 500 personnel across multiple locations, developing and implementing traffic management plans, and monitoring traffic conditions using real-time systems.

This position is responsible for managing the operations of the expressway, including traffic engineering projects to improve road safety and optimize expressway capacity. The role also involves serving as the primary liaison with traffic-related government agencies and private organizations, ensuring strict implementation of traffic laws, internal protocols, and expressway rules.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic engineering principles and traffic control systems, with experience in dealing with government agencies, law enforcement units, and regulatory bodies. They should also possess excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as strong crisis management and decision-making skills under pressure.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to manage large teams (500+ personnel) ideally in a highway, expressway, or public safety setting, and have a proven ability to develop KPIs and submit regular reports on traffic flow, incident handling, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Criminology, Public Safety, or related fields.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in traffic operations or traffic law enforcement, with 10 years in a leadership or senior management role.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles and traffic control systems.
  • Experience in dealing with government agencies, law enforcement units, and regulatory bodies.
  • Background in traffic laws and enforcement procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong crisis management and decision-making skills under pressure.
