Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer/DevOps Engineer to oversee, automate, and manage our environment efficiently.

Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer/DevOps Engineer

Department: Engineering

Reports to: CTO

Shift: Day Shift

Position: Open-Ended Contract Role

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, ALB, CloudFront, and S3, across multiple regions to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and security.
  2. Utilize Pulumi to create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for automated provisioning and configuration.
  3. Monitor system performance using New Relic and proactively resolve issues. Optimize resource usage for cost efficiency and performance.
  4. Manage and enhance deployment pipelines with Octopus Deploy, ensuring seamless releases aligned with CI/CD best practices.
  5. Develop and implement robust backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  6. Implement and monitor cloud security best practices, access controls, and compliance with relevant industry standards.
  7. Collaborate with development teams to support deployments and resolve infrastructure issues. Offer technical expertise to improve team effectiveness.
  8. Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, operational procedures, and policies to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Key Competencies and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Experience: 5+ years in cloud infrastructure management, preferably within AWS, with expertise in EC2, ALB, CloudFront, and S3.
  2. Skills: Proficiency in Pulumi (IaC), scripting (Python, Bash), and CI/CD tools like Octopus Deploy.
  3. Monitoring Tools: Experience with New Relic or similar monitoring tools.
  4. Database Knowledge: Familiarity with RavenDB Cloud or other NoSQL databases.
  5. Automation: Proven experience in automating deployment, scaling, and system health checks.
  6. Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.
  7. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
