Software Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers in the development and maintenance of our software distribution platform.

This is a technical management role that requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and effective communication.

  • Lead a remote team of engineers in their time zones.
  • Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career growth opportunities.
  • Establish and manage expectations with other engineering teams, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Be an active member of the leadership team and collaborate with other leaders within the organization.
  • Broaden our technology capabilities by creating clean web service APIs to support both CLI and web frontend clients using Python and optionally Golang.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in leading modern software development practices.
  • A proven track record of fostering a healthy engineering culture aligned with company values.
  • Knowledgeable about sound software principles and direct contributions to your team's objectives.
  • Ability to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
  • A passion for mentoring, developing, and growing people.
  • Solid knowledge of software development with proficiency in Python and experience in Golang as an added advantage.
  • Strong focus on delivering high-quality software efficiently.
  • An emphasis on nurturing great team dynamics and culture.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
