The Tax Preparer role supports the tax team by handling data input and assisting with the preparation of individual and business tax returns. This position focuses on accurate entry of tax information, including Schedule C and Schedule E, while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Key responsibilities include screening and reviewing client-provided tax documents for completeness and accuracy prior to preparation, entering and reviewing tax data into preparation software with accuracy and attention to detail, preparing and supporting the filing of federal and state tax returns, including Schedule C and Schedule E, organizing and verifying supporting documentation for client returns, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive tax and financial information, meeting established deadlines and collaborating with the team to ensure timely delivery of returns, and responding to client or internal inquiries regarding tax information as needed.
