Job Title: Release Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Release Manager to join our team. As a key member of our release management hub, you will be responsible for the planning and rollout of various software releases in controlled environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute software releases in controlled environments.
  • Ensure end-to-end accountability for the successful delivery of releases into live environments.
  • Validate release scope with project managers and delivery managers.
  • Coordinate technical validation of all releases and report on go-live activities.
  • Create and manage implementation plans, release meetings, and production cutovers.
  • Take responsibility for software packaging, code merge, and log analysis of Avaloq core and front platforms.
  • Collaborate with specialists from different areas for cross-domain activities.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including developers, project managers, test managers, and client managers.
  • Document and educate users on release, configuration, DevOps, and deployment management best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in release management and/or configuration management, preferably in the banking and financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in Unix, Oracle, SQL, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, Gerrit, Bitbucket, or other source code management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, conflict resolution abilities, and stakeholder management experience.
  • Good written and spoken English language skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and extended support beyond shifts for unscheduled hot fix releases.
