Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • To collaborate with the Laboratory Operations Manager in planning and pursuing capacity and technical capability development, quality, efficiency, and sustainability of the Chemical Laboratories.
  • Responsible for controlling and organizing the day-to-day technical operations of the AFL and EHS chemical testing laboratories and ensuring compliance of technical implementation activities and procedures to ISO 9001, ISO/IEC Guide 17025 requirements, and global system requirements.
  • Controls the selection, hiring, development of people as well as the implementation of disciplinary actions including terminations based on performance and competence vis-à-vis business needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related fields. Registered Chemist.
  • Minimum 8 years technical working experience or 5 years supervisory experience in a laboratory set-up.
  • Core (Integrity, Work Standard, Customer Service Orientation, Communication), Professional/Technical Knowledge, Functional (Organization skill, Analysis/Problem Assessment, Attention to Details/ Quality orientation, and Judgment/ Problem-solving), Leadership and Management Skills.
