Senior Front-End Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join our team. This is a remote role that offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects and collaborate with a talented group of professionals.

As a Senior Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality front-end solutions using modern technologies such as React, Gatsby, and WordPress.

Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality code, collaborating with the development team, and implementing complex builds and solving technical challenges.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in front-end development, including building custom WordPress themes, Shopify builds, and React-based front-end builds.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong ability to hand-code solutions rather than rely heavily on plugins.
  • Advanced experience with custom WordPress theme development and Shopify builds.
  • Solid experience with React, including building projects in Gatsby or similar.
  • Deep understanding of ACF and WordPress customisation best practices.
  • Proficient with CSS pre-processors like SCSS and building maintainable design systems.
  • Familiarity with Git workflows in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in integrating APIs and handling asynchronous data.
  • Skilled in optimising websites for speed, accessibility, and SEO.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting server-related issues (LAMP/LEMP environments, hosting setups).
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
