An exciting opportunity to join a sales team and be part of the emerging drone industry.
As a Business Development Representative, you will identify potential customers across the APAC region and qualify their interest in Wingtra's products using outbound sales techniques and establishing contact with the customer. You will generate leads using social media, phone and networking activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Generating leads using social media, phone and networking activities.
- Validating and qualifying leads to establish contact with the customer.
- Holding virtual product demonstrations of the drone and its workflow as well as assisting in person.
- Introducing sales qualified leads (SQL) to local partners and the regional sales manager in a well-documented manner.
- Assisting in the organization of roadshows, partner events and tradeshows.
- Creating and maintaining customer data in CRM tools.
- Building the territory in a close working relationship with the regional sales manager.
Requirements for this role include:
- Experience cold calling, generating leads and dealing with rejection.
- Passion, competitiveness and curiosity by nature, open to continuously growing their skillset.
- Well-organized, able to document clearly and concisely.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong aptitude for both selling and building lasting relationships with distribution partners and customers.
- Persuasive, independent and at ease negotiating and developing trust.
- Post-secondary education or 1-2 years of professional working experience.
- A high level of curiosity and openness to being coached alongside senior sales staff.
- Travel up to 20%.
Bonus if you have existing network in geospatial, surveying, mining or construction industries, passion for latest technologies and innovations that solve problems for customers and enhance their daily lives, tech savviness working with outreach tools such as LinkedIn Sales navigator, email verification and automated sequencing tools as well as CRM systems.
