Software Engineer, Platform Opportunity

At Speechify, we're revolutionizing the way people consume information. Our platform enables users to listen to articles, documents, and books on-the-go, making learning easier and more accessible.

We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer, Platform to join our team and help us scale our infrastructure, optimize product flows, and build end-to-end systems.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in high-paced environments, is passionate about owning product decisions, and has experience building complex engineering systems.

The successful candidate will:

  • Design, develop, and report on the performance of complex end-to-end systems
  • Participate in product decisions and refine the product roadmap
  • Collaborate with the Platform team to provide universal architecture and expertise across products

Requirements include:

  • Experience: A proven track record of building and maintaining large-scale products, with experience in both backend and frontend development
  • Systems thinking: The ability to think holistically about end-to-end systems involving multiple products, 3rd party services, etc.
  • Speed: The capacity to work quickly, generating ideas and options, and deciding which things can ship now and what needs time
  • Focus: The ability to navigate busy, remote teams and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration with designers, marketers, and PMs
  • Tech Stack : Proficiency in NodeJS, ReactJS, TypeScript, Java, Go, and Python
