The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing business intelligence solutions using our databases. They will also assist in providing ad-hoc user requests such as data extraction and report generation, in line with proper database request forms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop business intelligence solutions using our databases.
  • Assist in providing ad-hoc user requests such as data extraction and report generation, in line with proper database request forms.
  • Maintain security of databases and database software on corporate, application, database, role, program, and when applicable, table, view, and column levels in cooperation with security experts and systems programmers.
  • Perform performance tuning and corrective maintenance to ensure databases are performing efficiently and as expected.
  • Implement disk space management to use as input for capacity planning requirements.
  • Create primary database storage structures (tablespaces) after application developers have designed an application.
  • Modify database storage structures and parameters, as necessary, based on information provided by application developers and vendor consultants.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest product patches to ensure data integrity and security effectiveness.
Requirements
  1. 2-4 years' work experience in database administration.
  2. Strong knowledge of database objects, structures, and concepts.
  3. Good understanding of database functions and operations.
  4. Knowledge of database capacity planning, backup and recovery, and performance tuning of database systems.
  5. Ability to develop business intelligence solutions.
