Business Intelligence Analyst Role Overview

We are a fast-growing apparel company selling on Amazon. Our product line features over 40 base products with nearly 2000 variation choices, focusing on delivering high-quality apparel to our customers.

Job Summary

A Business Intelligence Analyst will handle all aspects of data analysis and modeling. Primary focus will be forecasting business performance across multiple horizons, considering internal trends and external factors like economic indicators and global disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced machine learning models for sales, profitability, and inventory forecasting.
  • Analyze internal data from Amazon API and QuickBooks, as well as external data on global economic trends, market conditions, and consumer behavior.
  • Identify key trends and patterns in sales, seasonality, and customer preferences.
  • Create and refine algorithms to optimize pricing strategies, inventory management, and marketing campaigns.
  • Design custom dashboards to visualize predictive models and key metrics.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and present findings to stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Assess potential risks to production and supply chain, incorporating these factors into forecasting models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in an e-commerce or Amazon-focused company.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models for forecasting and predictive analysis.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and machine learning tools like Python, R, SQL, and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
