Woodcraft Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Woodcraft Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to woodwork, including construction, furniture making, and repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials accurately using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
• Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, partitions, floors, doors, cabinets, stairs, and furniture.
• Fitting and installing hardware, hinges, locks, and handles.
• Assembling and fastening materials to make frameworks or props using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
• Inspecting and replacing damaged framework or other structures and fixtures as required.
• Maintaining work in compliance with safety standards and building codes.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.
• Collaborating with team members, site supervisors, and other trades.

Requirements:

• High School graduate; vocational course or TESDA certificate in Carpentry is an advantage.
• 1-2 years carpentry experience (construction, furniture making, repairs).
• Ability to read measurements and basic drawings.
• Knowledge of safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Physically fit for manual work.
• Hardworking, honest, and able to work with minimal supervision.
