Senior Tax Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned accountant who is confident in preparing tax returns and building financial reports. The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic tax planning.

The role involves managing client portfolios, preparing year-end financial statements and tax returns, and conducting tax research. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide advisory services, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and management reporting.

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a remote team. You will also need to be self-motivated and able to manage deliverables across a client portfolio with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client portfolios and ensure compliance with Australian tax laws
  • Prepare year-end financial statements and tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities
  • Conduct tax research and provide strategic tax planning
  • Provide advisory services, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and management reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • Extensive 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Australian tax within an accounting firm, specializing in SMEs
  • Comprehensive understanding of Australian tax regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage deliverables across a client portfolio
