Role Overview

The Risk Officer will play a critical role in managing the bank's risk by monitoring key risks, preparing reports for committees, and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 8 years of relevant banking experience and be proficient in data and analytics tools such as Excel, VBA, R, SAS, Python, and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee risk management by monitoring key risks, preparing reports for bank committees, estimating risks quantitatively and qualitatively, and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Develop and review risk management policies and procedures, integrating risk responses into business processes, and maintaining tools and policies for effective risk management across the bank.
  • Manage the Risk Model Framework, including developing risk models and management tools, ensuring effective implementation of the Risk Management Framework, and periodically testing the predictive ability of risk models.
  • Maintain good risk governance by regularly assessing compliance with regulations and risk controls, actively participate in bank committees, and continuously review and adapt to evolving business strategies and external environments.

What We're Looking For

  • At least college graduate in business-related course or other relevant course, Finance (includes Accounting), Statistics, or Mathematics is preferred.
  • At least 2 to 8 years (depends on the job grade) of relevant banking experience.
  • Proficient in data and analytics tools: Excel, VBA, R, SAS, Python, Power BI.
  • Experience in building and leading a team, especially for higher job grades.
