Job Title: Medical Claims Specialist

The Medical Claims Specialist will support the billing and revenue cycle management team in a growing physical therapy practice dedicated to providing exceptional care and service to patients.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies.">
  • Post payments from insurance companies and patients into the electronic medical records system.">
  • Reconcile patient accounts and identify discrepancies or payment issues.">
  • Follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims with insurance companies.">
  • Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.">
  • Maintain an organized accounts receivable system and generate regular aging reports.">
  • Work closely with the administrative team to ensure timely revenue collection.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Proven experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or claims management.">
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office Suite.">
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.">
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.">
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.">

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPT and ICD-10 coding knowledge is beneficial.">
  • Experience in healthcare administration or physical therapy billing is preferred.">
