Senior QA Automation Engineer Position

This leadership role oversees the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing, ensuring high-quality systems that exceed expectations. The ideal candidate will lead the delivery, mentor team members, and drive IT Applications projects to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Leads to provide testing recommendations impacting other teams.
  • Communicate effectively with management and delivery leads.
  • Presentation skills: deliver test solutions to cross-functional groups.
  • Represent technical areas and IT on enhancements and projects, resolving issues.
  • Triage process ownership.
  • Regression Coordinator across teams.
  • Maintain IT Principles & Values.
  • Monitor Delivery Team metrics and drive improvements.
  • Coach junior members for effective contribution.
  • Provide out-of-hours support for incidents.
  • Coordinate test efforts with stakeholders.
Test Implementation
  • Ensure sufficient test coverage, initiating reviews as needed.
  • Design test implementation and create supporting documentation.
  • Review test approach to identify issues and drive improvements.
  • Lead multiple project deliveries independently.
  • Contribute to test coverage reviews.
  • Organize regression activity and status reporting.
Automation
  • Regularly conduct peer reviews and source control PR approvals.
  • Update and fix CI Implementation, implementing process improvements in CI Architecture.
  • Consolidate CI Execution Results and communicate issues to stakeholders.
  • Engage in discussions about automation coverage and opportunities.
  • Adapt to different test automation technologies and lead proof of concept initiatives.
  • Mentor junior resources on automation implementation and best practices.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture of the automation framework.
  • Drive self-improvement as a SME for test automation.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of solid application QA/testing experience.
  • 2+ years of QA leadership experience.
  • Experience with SFDC and SFDC test automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing practices.
  • Effective communication and accountability skills.
  • Proven results-driven record and team engagement.
  • Expertise in creating test strategies and plans.
