We are seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to lead external audits of Not-for-Profit entities and trust accounts under relevant Australian legislation. As a senior professional in this field, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on these audits. Your expertise will ensure compliance with Australian Auditing Standards and provide valuable insights to our clients.


About the Role

This is a part-time position that requires 20 hours of work per week. You will have flexibility to increase your hours as the need arises. The ideal candidate will have minimum five years' experience in external audits, including NFP and trust accounts. Proficiency in audit software, advanced Excel, and financial reporting tools is essential. Additionally, you must have strong knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards and AASB frameworks.


Responsibilities
  • Planning and conducting external audits of NFPs and trust accounts
  • Reporting on audit findings and providing recommendations
  • Ensuring compliance with Australian Auditing Standards and AASB frameworks
  • Providing expert advice on internal controls, risk management, and technical accounting issues

Requirements
  • Minimum five years' experience in external audits, including NFP and trust accounts
  • Proficient with audit software (e.g., CaseWare), advanced Excel, and financial reporting tools
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards, AASB frameworks, and NFP compliance
  • Experience testing controls over payroll, procurement, revenue recognition, and grant acquittals
  • Excellent English communication skills for reports, client liaison, and presentations
