Senior Accounting Professional

The role involves performing end-to-end General Ledger Accounting, partnering with the Finance Controller for ASC 606 recording and commission expense reporting, designing and rolling out processes for capitalizing software development costs under ASC 350, preparing and presenting financial reports for senior leadership, leading projects requiring technical accounting research, GAAP compliance, and memo preparation, identifying and implementing process and system improvements, participating in software implementations, process upgrades, and cross-training initiatives, and taking ownership of special projects, ad hoc reports, and general accounting duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform comprehensive General Ledger Accounting functions.
  2. Collaborate with the Finance Controller on ASC 606 recording and commission expense reporting.
  3. Develop and implement a process for capitalizing software development costs under ASC 350.
  4. Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior leadership.
  5. Lead projects involving technical accounting research, GAAP compliance, and memo preparation.
  6. Identify and implement process and system enhancements.
  7. Participate in software implementations, process upgrades, and cross-training initiatives.
  8. Take ownership of special projects, ad hoc reports, and general accounting tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  1. CPA with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  2. 8+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience.
  3. 2-3 years in Big 4 audit or multinational companies.
  4. At least 2 years working with U.S. clients (insurance and tech company experience is a plus).
  5. Strong exposure to ASC 606.
  6. Proficient in QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Credit Card transaction management.
  7. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  8. Ability to work independently while maintaining integrity and professionalism.
