Job Description

The Senior Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring complete, accurate, and timely receipt and recording of all revenue accounts. This role provides financial information and support relating to the Revenue process.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring that all sales statements are completely and accurately posted for all stores.
  • Verifying that cash sales of all stores are deposited timely and completely.
  • Taking charge of the timely collection of accounts receivables and ensuring that these are recorded in the books.
  • Coordinating directly with bank partners and store managers regarding discrepancies and disputes. Resolving collection issues promptly.
  • Monitoring aging of Accounts Receivable.
  • Performing periodic reconciliation of bank and company accounts.
  • Recording journal entries to make the necessary corrections and/or adjustments.
  • Analyzing revenue accounts and highlighting significant findings and recommendations to Business Unit Controller.
  • Preparing monthly Balance Sheet schedules and month-end reports related to the Revenue Cycle. Reconciling all variances when applicable.
  • Preparing the Certified Monthly Sales Reports and ensuring that these are submitted to the mall administration office before the due date.
  • Recommending process and control improvements related to the Revenue Cycle.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
