Medical Scheduling Expert Wanted

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Scheduling Expert to join our team, specializing in family medicine and internal medicine support. This role involves providing exceptional customer service to patients over the phone, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining accurate patient records within an electronic health record (EHR) system.

Responsibilities:

Greet callers in a professional manner, address their needs promptly, and schedule primary care appointments, including annual exams, chronic care follow-ups, acute visits, and preventive screenings.

Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, including co-pays, deductibles, and network status, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.

Maintain and update patient records accurately in the EHR system, collaborating with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care delivery.

Assist with patient portal setup and troubleshooting, responding to inquiries regarding test results, referrals, and follow-up instructions in alignment with practice policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in family medicine or internal medicine.

Proficiency in EHR systems, including scheduling, documentation, and patient communication features.

Strong knowledge of primary care visit types, referral processes, and insurance requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
