Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Role

This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to grow your skills in cloud infrastructure management.

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients' Microsoft Azure infrastructure needs.
  • Providing timely incident response, communication, and escalation services.
  • Identifying IT issues, troubleshooting, and maintaining open communication channels with clients.
  • Installing, configuring, and administering client systems in Azure to enhance their infrastructure.
  • Configuring and tuning cloud-based tools to ensure cost-effective, secure, and compliant environments.
  • Executing monthly maintenance plans, including patching, verifying anti-virus updates, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation for each client's environment.
  • Promoting best practices to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Participating in regular discussions with clients to review outstanding issues and changes.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with cloud servers, services, and software or on-prem server and virtualization environments.
  • Experience in 24x7 managed services, hosted service companies, or Network Operations Center environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and associated ITSM systems and service portals for Incident and Change Management.
  • Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS experience.
  • Windows and Linux system administration expertise.
  • Proficiency in developing CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, and Terraform templates.
  • Azure native services and Cost, Security, and Compliance management tool knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of sys admin concepts, including virtualization, containers, disk storage, encryption, security, network connectivity, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A passion for problem solving and learning new technologies.
