Job Description
">The primary function of this position is to oversee and manage all aspects of the company's accounting operations. This includes general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
">Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports, adhering to accounting standards and company policies. The role also involves leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring comprehensive and accurate financial reporting.
">Additionally, the position requires developing, implementing, and maintaining robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and safeguard company assets. It also involves overseeing tax planning and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax returns.
">Furthermore, the role requires coordinating and managing internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards. Providing leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture is also an essential responsibility.
">Collaboration with other departments to support business operations, strategic planning, and decision-making is another critical aspect of this role. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and improve overall financial performance is also expected.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
">A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles within accounting, with a background in a large accounting firm is preferred.
">Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements is necessary. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis is also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
">Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Intacct, etc.) is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are also necessary.
