Medical Editor

At eData Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Editor to join our team. As a Medical Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our medical reports.

• Verify the accuracy of transcribed reports against interview, chart, and infosheet data
• Proofread and copyedit reports to meet the requirements of the AAMT and client
• Eliminate discrepancies and ensure consistency in tense, format, and content
• Re-write sentences, eliminate redundancy, and re-structure paragraphs as needed
• Perform production editing, including type-marking, monitoring Historian progress, and final proofing
• Prepare reports for final transmittal and make transmittal requests and/or additional instructions to the Customer Service Department
• Operate and perform routine maintenance or adjustment of word processing equipment and programs
• Maintain records of productivity and workflow, and serve as a reference for statistical summaries
• Research and develop technical and complex source documents to aid in the interpretation and presentation of reports
• Prepare Standards and Guidelines of Primary Accounts, and update and modify templates and guidelines as necessary
• Train, coach, and cue Historians on common errors and provide feedback on quality evaluation forms

Qualifications:

• Preferably a graduate of a medical allied course
• Efficient knowledge of basic computer and internet applications
• Above-average English language proficiency
• 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Editor
• Excellent comprehension and analytical skills
