Test Engineer

As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. This position involves planning, designing, and developing manual and automation test tools, methodologies, scripts, and executing end-to-end automation and manual test cases.

  • Create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for both automated and manual testing.
  • Develop scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce test execution time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement repeatable automated tests during sprints, ensuring seamless integration into CI/CD processes.
  • Plan and manage labour needs for each sprint and product release, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including principal engineers, product owners, scrum masters, and release managers, to communicate test results and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all assigned testing deliverables are met within the sprint and product release timelines.
  • Prepare and present detailed test reports to key stakeholders, highlighting successes and challenges.
  • Engage with business users, analysts, and engineers to resolve assigned defects and ensure timely closure.
  • Stay abreast of external trends and best practices in testing to contribute to process improvements and asset development.
  • Promote productivity through effective use of test automation tools, methodologies, and industry-leading best practices.
  • Provide training and coaching to team members on manual and automated testing techniques, ensuring consistent knowledge and skills across the squad.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of software testing experience, with at least 3 years of automation testing experience.
  • Proven expertise in both manual and automated testing, including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating, and test coverage.
  • Experience working with external parties and vendors to drive collaborative outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and understand business processes and systems in-depth.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Java, Maven, Postman, REST, SOAP web services, API testing, and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  • Ability to work across multiple products/platforms/squads, prioritizing stakeholder needs and managing competing demands.
  • Regular use of defect and test management systems like JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with automated testing tool Playwright.
  • Prior experience in outsourced employee benefits and administration service domains.
