The Senior Software Development Engineer plays a crucial role in driving quality at every stage of the software development life cycle (SDLC). This includes requirements definition, dependency analysis, test creation, and release. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Generate reports of test results and errors detected.
  2. Define priorities and plan tests of system requirements.
  3. Document system functionalities in both quality control processes and software development cycles.
  4. Communicate issues effectively to stakeholders.
  5. Create automated test scripts for efficient testing and software delivery.
  6. Identify opportunities to enhance team and framework capabilities.
  7. Collaborate with development and product management teams to drive comprehensive requirements for system enhancements and new features.
  8. Analyze end-user requirements to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  9. Execute manual and automated test cases, detect errors, document them, and follow up for resolution.
  10. Identify, reproduce, and report defects, verifying fixes.
  11. Participate in agile development processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  12. Represent end-users to developers to ensure requirements are met.
  13. Detect and propose improvements in quality control processes and software development cycles.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in testing, building, or supporting web applications.
  • Experience testing APIs and client applications.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira, aha, etc.
  • Experience with test case management software.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to build, lead, and inspire teams, foster a positive work culture, and develop talent.
  • Familiarity with automated browser testing using an end-to-end testing framework.
  • Experience with API testing frameworks (Postman, Rest Assured, etc).
  • Experience testing or supporting web applications, databases, mobile, complex systems.
  • Experience writing code using languages like JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
  • Desire and ability to take on special engineering initiatives with a significant impact.
  • Familiarity with automated browser testing using an end-to-end testing framework (Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, Puppeteer).
  • Experience working with Agile development teams.
