We are seeking a skilled IT Professional to join our team as an IT Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our global network.

This is a long-term/permanent work-from-home opportunity with flexible working hours, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Operations: Handle all IT work from home and office, including firewall, security, and users VPN.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with global teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Project Management: Work closely with the IT director on IT projects, including design and reporting via Jira and email.
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with DevOps and support teams to resolve complex issues.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an IT staff member.
  • Third-Party Handling: Experience in third-party handling (suppliers, vendors, carriers).
  • Communication Skills: Fluent English language skills for direct communication with US or EU customers.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in main Linux OS flavors: Red Hat/CentOS 6, 7, 8, Ubuntu; Microsoft Windows proficiency at administration level, knowledge of latest releases and Remote Desktop.
  • Scripting Skills: Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl.
  • Networking Knowledge: Networking know-how: Fortigate firewall setup, basic WiFi knowledge, Static routing, DHCP.
  • Automation: IT automation using Ansible.
  • Personal Qualities: Solutions-oriented, fast-paced, team player.
Desirable Skills
  • Leadership: Experience working with development groups as an IT team leader.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Infrastructure maintenance: LAMP, monitoring tools.
  • Bug Tracking Systems: Bug tracking systems like Jira or Bugzilla.
  • Server Configuration Tools: Server configuration tools like OMSA, PSP.
  • Monitoring and Configuration Management: Monitoring skills: Nagios, Centreon, Zabbix; configuration management: puppet/chef/salt.
  • Configuration Management: Ability to support developers; Makefile, Scons, RPM building.
  • Certification: RHCE certification.
  • Advanced Networking: Networking: advanced troubleshooting, WiFi; fiber connectivity (single-mode/multimode); L3 routing (BGP), UDP unicast/multicast.
  • Firewall Setup Familiarity: Firewall setup familiarity; Fortigate appliances; VPN for clients.
  • Switches: Low latency switches familiarity: Cisco Nexus, Dell Force10, Arista; switches, Solarflare NICs.
  • Remote Server Work: Experience with remote or on-site server work.
  • VOIP Knowledge: VOIP knowledge (SIP signaling, RTP; firewall considerations); SIP Trunk troubleshooting.
  • Virtualization and Cloud: Virtualization and cloud: QEMU, Docker, AWS, GCP; cloud networking.
