Financial Operations Specialist

The Financial Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting month-end activities, and identifying opportunities to automate and improve manual processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Support month-end settlement processing by preparing, validating, and analyzing data to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Elicit, capture, and document business and functional requirements to enable manual billing tasks to be converted to automated tasks by collaborating with the Project Management and Engineering teams.
- Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements, suggesting changes to streamline operations, improve workflows and controls, minimize risk, reduce manual interventions, and reduce inefficiencies where needed.
- Client Onboarding
- Complete client onboarding based on specified terms detailed in signed contracts, and ensure proper setup of financial systems.
- Reconciliations and Audit Support
- Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts and proactively communicate daily status and escalate issues as needed.
- Liaise with other operational teams as well as Client Service teams to resolve any outstanding financial issues and ensure accuracy and timely payments.
- Team Collaboration
- Actively cross-train to provide back-up coverage for all team members.
