Job Highlights

As the Head of iOS Engineering at MetroMart Technologies Inc., you will be responsible for leading our dynamic team and driving our efficient project management process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mobile architecture, design, and development, and will be process-driven, identifying and evaluating alternatives, and making credible recommendations for the team and clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Advance our architecture and abstractions to ensure our code continues to scale and feature teams can deliver with increasing autonomy.
  • Mentor team members on design patterns and code reusability, and lead in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues.
  • Improve and maintain mobile apps CI and CD infrastructure and pipelines, and build and maintain developer tools to help our product teams work effectively.
  • Develop libraries and foundations in areas such as testing, analytics, networking, and logging, and solicit feedback from the development team to drive a great overall developer experience.
  • Ensure performance and operational reliability of applications, and create end-to-end system integration design and deployment strategies.
  • Create a collaborative development environment, encourage new ideas for finding solutions to common problems, and develop high-quality software in Swift programming language.
  • Create scalable software systems, and have experienced in a project management process (i.e. Scrum) with the ability to lead team discussions/meetings.

Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science and/or other related fields.
  • 8+ years developing iOS Native mobile applications in Swift.
  • 4+ years leading and guiding technical teams.
  • Deep expertise in iOS front-end development.
  • Strong architecting and design skills, working directly with end clients.
  • Familiar with Git.
  • Excellent English communication (both written and oral) with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
