Job Description

As a freelance peer reviewer, you will be responsible for assessing the novelty and validity of academic manuscripts in the field of media studies.

You will evaluate the study design and methodology, ensuring that the research is comprehensive and accurately described to allow for future reproduction.

Additionally, you will check the literature review for thorough incorporation of up-to-date research and analyze the results and conclusions to ensure they are supported by the data.

Finally, you will provide constructive feedback suggesting improvements or highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in media studies or a related field.
  • At least two publications in the last two years in media studies or a related field.
  • Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within media studies.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
