Trade Finance Specialist

Job Description:

This role is for a highly motivated and organized Trade Finance Specialist to join our Customer Experience team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support through distributor/retailer back-up retrieval, collections, and transaction processing.

As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the AR Manager to build a scalable platform that supports deductions reconciliation, including identifying trends and opportunities for the client based on expense settlements. You will also follow established procedures to determine whether an expense is authorized or unauthorized, develop standard operating procedures for different tasks within the department, and identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance the deductions process.

You will also assist with ad hoc analysis and reporting, take responsibility for department goals by accepting new duties and finding opportunities for improvement within the Customer Success – Technology Enabled Services department, and provide exceptional customer service by working effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintaining effective communication with clients and colleagues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in trade finance, specifically in deductions, collections, reconciliations, and general trade finance
  • Background or education in accounting or a related field
  • Technical prowess with SaaS products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and G-Suite
  • Experience working in a start-up and comfortable with change
  • Business-level English fluency required
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills
