Job Title: Mechanical Drafter

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced drafter to support our engineering and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and revising detailed drawings, assemblies, and part models based on specifications and design concepts.

  • Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks for parts, assemblies, and complete systems.
  • Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to develop accurate technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Maintain and update project files on the SolidWorks server.
  • Apply appropriate standards and ensure compliance with drafting standards.
  • Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to revision control procedures.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Prior experience with scaffolding, guard railing systems, or similar mechanical structures is an asset.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • An associate's degree in CAD, Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in roles requiring SolidWorks for 2D and 3D modeling.
  • High proficiency in solid modeling using SolidWorks, including assemblies, part modeling, and drawing generation.
  • Excellent file management and project organization skills, with the ability to maintain clear and systematic documentation.
