About the Role

At Market Place Christian Church Transport and Multi-Purpose Cooperative, we are seeking an exceptional Financial Services Specialist to join our team. This role offers a rewarding career opportunity with a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 per annum.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing client financial transactions, maintaining accurate general ledgers, and producing timely financial reports. They will also play a crucial role in cultivating strong relationships with clients through effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transactional Processing: Ensure seamless management of client accounts payable, accounts receivable, and all financial transactions.
  • General Ledger Maintenance and Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate general ledger records and produce timely financial reports by organizing client financial data and reviewing financial transactions.
  • Record Maintenance and Information Management: Efficiently manage records, documentation, and reports for the Accounting team and its clients.
  • Client Communication and Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with clients through innovative ideas, challenging existing guidelines, meeting client expectations, and building trust.
  • Risk Identification and Escalation: Identify significant risks, escalate them, recommend possible solutions, or resolve them independently.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement across all financial areas, recommend next steps, and work with the line manager on implementation.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration within the team and ensure transparent communication through regular feedback sessions.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in financial services and accounting. You should also be proficient in technology and AI applications within accounting processes.
