Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Middleware Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at ETeam PH. In this role, you will be responsible for the build, implementation, and maintenance of Middleware/Web Hosting infrastructure and related system software and utilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage middleware applications such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Liberty, IBM MobileFirst Platform Foundation/IBM Worklight Foundation, IBM HTTP Server, Apache, WebLogic, IIS, and JBoss to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform vulnerability management, including testing, installation, and upgrades of middleware application software following the Web Hosting Configuration Build Standards.
  • Define procedures and guidelines for application middleware setup and configuration adhering to industry security standards.
  • Design and maintain middleware application automation using Ansible and Jenkins.
  • Test and implement service recovery and disaster prevention procedures for various middleware applications and their related tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in installation, configuration, deployment, administration, and production support of IBM WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Liberty, IBM MobileFirst Platform Foundation/IBM Worklight Foundation, IBM HTTP Server, Apache, WebLogic, IIS, and JBoss in Unix, Windows, Linux/RHEL, and Cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in creating playbooks in Ansible and pipelines using Jenkins.
  • General knowledge and experience in scripting languages such as bash, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Understanding of IT Service Management principles.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, databases, and related IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with tools like Continuous Delivery Director, Artifactory, Bitbucket, and Jira is an asset but not required.
  • General knowledge and experience in AWS – Amazon Web Services is an asset.
  • Experience with WebSphere Portal Server and Java Programming is an asset.
