Job Opportunity

As a senior architect, you will provide remote technical leadership and guide staff architects on large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis: Identify emerging markets and understand client needs to develop effective business strategies.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in defining tasks, timelines, fees, and preparing project proposals to meet client expectations.
  • Programming: Develop space needs and conduct zoning and code reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design Preparation: Review existing drawings, identify challenges, and produce Revit drawings to inform design decisions.
  • Design Implementation: Establish design concepts, create 3D models, plan spaces, and coordinate with consultants to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Documentation: Prepare contract documents, lead quality control, and supervise technical details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Bidding: Assist in preparing bid packages and respond to contractor RFIs to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Project Administration: Communicate contract requirements, review submittals, and coordinate change orders to maintain project momentum.
  • Team Support: Support team assignments, budgets, invoicing, and maintain effective communication with clients and staff to foster a collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
  • Professional degree in Architecture.
  • Architectural Licensure (U.S. preferred; international considered with strong experience).
  • 10+ years of relevant architectural experience.
  • Proven leadership in technical design and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Revit; additional skills in SketchUp, Photoshop, and related software a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of building codes (Chicago Building Code and IBC experience highly valued).
