Job Description:

The School Dentist is responsible for providing high-quality dental care to students within a school setting. This involves conducting annual dental check-ups, treating dental issues, and educating students and staff on proper oral hygiene practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts thorough dental examinations and assessments for First-Year students and transferees.
  • Provides consultation services for dental-related concerns.
  • Renders tooth extraction services as necessary.
  • Prescribes and dispenses medications to control pain and bleeding.
  • Delivers comprehensive oral hygiene instructions to students.
  • Collaborates with the School Physician and School Nurse to ensure cohesive student care.

Requirements:

A licensed Doctor of Dental Medicine is required. Experience in pediatric dentistry or school-based health settings is preferred but not essential. A willingness to work part-time on Tuesdays and Thursdays is also desirable.
