Job Summary

This role is an exceptional opportunity to share your passion for nutrition with others and contribute to the health and wellbeing of our communities.

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing science-based nutrition education and training to our customers, crew, and community.

With a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment, you will have the chance to wear multiple hats, from conducting classes and private coaching sessions to community outreach and retail operations.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about sharing their knowledge and inspiring others to achieve their health goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing customer service on the floor in the vitamin aisles (assisting customers with product purchasing, providing education resources, etc.).
  2. Maintaining customer literature files, stocking shelves, checking product expiration dates, cleaning, and merchandising products.
  3. Offering in-store nutrition and recipe demonstration classes, outreach nutrition classes, and regular training to crew.
  4. Providing private individual one-on-one health coaching sessions.
  5. Building community relationships with practitioners, guest presenters, event partners, and seeking outreach opportunities.
  6. Maintaining continued education requirements, including reading and reviewing research and completing CE assignments.

The successful candidate will be self-directed, able to maximize time management, and work well as part of a team. They must also be comfortable working in a retail setting and performing retail operations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or certification in nutrition or a related field (e.g., dietetics, Bachelor of Science or Master of Biology, Biochemistry, Naturopathy).
  • Excellent public speaking skills and confidence in front of an audience.
  • Ability to engage customers and start conversations to promote events, services, and sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivation and a desire to grow and develop knowledge and skills.
