The Role

We are seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of application systems through timely technical assistance and software/application program troubleshooting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level technical assistance on application system/software to various departments.
  • Support the deployment of new programs/computer applications through end-user training and attending to routine queries.
  • Resolve support tickets in a fast and professional manner.
  • Keep customers/users updated on the progress of resolving their support ticket.
  • Ensure proper logging/recording of all support coming in on email, chat, and phone conversation in the Ticketing system.
  • Maintain close coordination among members of the IT Department to ensure proper resolution of complex issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with new application system development and enhancement.
  • Ensure proper management of recurring issues, bugs, or system flaws while recommending permanent solutions.

Data Processing/Report Generation

  • Program coding and designing of reports according to defined specifications and parameters within company standards.
  • Processing of data involving data extraction or uploading that may require coding or creating program scripts.

Documentation

  • Prepare weekly reports on the status of activities.
  • Compile and prepare weekly reports on system errors, bugs, issues, and problems.
