Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and services to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian taxation law and experience working with financial statements, business activity statements, and installment activity statements. You will also be required to maintain general ledgers, reconcile entries, and prepare private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and end-of-year compliance jobs.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also be expected to mentor and review the work of junior accountants and provide guidance and support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client transactions and financial information
  • Prepare and submit financial statements, business activity statements, and installment activity statements on time
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Mentor and review the work of junior accountants and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Australian taxation law and accounting
  • CPA license an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
