Key Responsibilities
  • Review and appraise manual test cases produced for the application under test and provide recommendations on their potential for API automation to the project team.
  • Create and execute test strategies, scenarios, and scripts for API testing.
  • Verify and validate APIs for functionality, dependability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test scenarios and automated API testing.
  • Analyze test results, detect flaws, and report concerns using tracking tools.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in API testing and test automation.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, and API testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with any API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or similar.
  • Experience using scripting languages such as JavaScript and/or Python.
