Job Overview:

The Farm Maintenance supervisor is responsible for supervising, directing, and controlling Maintenance and Engineering resources to establish a proactive, cost-efficient, and effective comprehensive maintenance program (Mechanical, Electrical, Building, Grounds, Instrumentation, and process control). This ensures maximum uptime for farm equipment and minimizes breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement an effective maintenance strategy for farm equipment to ensure maximum availability.
  2. Analyze recurring equipment failures and take corrective action to prevent future issues.
  3. Coordinate with department heads to schedule maintenance works and increase equipment operational availability while maintaining capacity, reliability, and safety.
  4. Analyze and resolve work problems and correct equipment deviations, escalating complex issues to department heads as needed.
  5. Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of repair and maintenance for farm equipment and machineries.
  6. Assist in developing service level standards for maintenance services delivered to relevant client departments.

Preventive Maintenance System:

Plan, design, and implement an effective preventive maintenance system to ensure farm equipment reliability.

Maintain up-to-date records on inventory control of machinery, equipment, tools, historical data, evaluate maintenance costs, and implement cost reduction programs.

Power Supply Management:

Coordinate with local power utilities to manage power supply and quality.

Analyze load profiles of plant processes and implement an Energy Conservation Program to optimize power resources.

Spare Parts and Supply Management:

Ensure availability of materials, spare parts, and supplies for operating equipment, maintenance, repair, and reconditioning, and project requirements.

Strategic and Financial Planning:

Prepare and implement departmental strategic and operational plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensed Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
  • 3-5 years in farm maintenance operations or 5-10 years of experience in maintenance
