About the Role

The VMware Solutions Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a robust VMware infrastructure that supports the bank's business needs. This includes provision and installation of new servers, deployment and management of VMware vSphere environments, and implementation and management of VCenter ESXi hosts, VSAN, SRM, VROPS, VReplication, and virtual machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct health checks and risk assessments on the VMware infrastructure
  • Monitor system performance to ensure high availability and reliability of the VMware environment
  • Perform performance monitoring and resource utilization analysis to optimize resource utilization
  • Plan and implement firmware, drivers, and software upgrades of the VMware infrastructure
  • Collaborate with VMware support teams to escalate and resolve issues promptly
  • Collaborate with TAM support for the lifecycle of the VMware infrastructure
Skills and Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of VMware vCenter, ESXi, VSA, and other hypervisor technologies
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation like PowerCLI (highly preferred)
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with network and storage concepts as they relate to VMware environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
